Birthday Tea Party Celebration
I was pleased to cater my first party for my Aunt’s birthday celebration. She requested an array of tea party style food. I created two types of tea sandwiches - classic cucumber with an herb cream cheese and baba ganoush with charred za’atar marinated peppers. To accompany the sandwiches, I served smoked salmon with herb cream cheese on olive oil crackers. I baked scones - cranberry orange and cheddar - as well as mini zucchini chocolate muffins. I served a cold platter of roasted butternut squash with sautéed onions, which got tossed in a honey, white wine, and red wine vinegar reduction. Alongside this, I put together fruit skewers consisting of grapes, oranges, pineapple, and cinnamon maple glazed peaches. Below are images of my food at the event.
